Ādi Śakti: Philosophy and Narratives of the Feminine Divine is a compilation of the lecture series which was conducted at Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth during the Dīpāvalī festival in November 2020. The love and admiration for Śakti, the Feminine Divine, is a major feature of the Sanātana-dharma right from the Vedic times. She continues to be revered and invoked as Lakṣmī, Pārvatī, Durgā, Sarasvatī, Kālī and in many other names and forms. The book provides a comprehensive overview of Ādi Śakti from various dimensions. It contains ten chapters and has been divided into two parts. The first part looks at the concept, different forms and philosophy of Śakti; whereas the second part explores the description of Śakti in scriptures and literature.
